The National Irish Freedom Committee / Cumann na Saoirse Náisiúnta will host the 2023 Annual Fenian Republican Commemoration at the Fenian Monument in Calvary Cemetery, 49-02 Laurel Hill Boulevard, Woodside (Queens), NY 11377, on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 10:00 am. All Irish Republicans and supporters are welcome to attend.
The monument is in 2nd Calvary, Section 16, Range 24, Plot A, Grave 1 and can be accessed from the Laurel Hill Boulevard entrance near the cemetery office.
Cumann na Saoirse Náisiúnta was founded by Michael Flannery, George Harrison, Joe Stynes, and others in 1987 after the split of 1986. In founding the NIFC, the intent of the founding members was to build an organization that would safeguard and ensure that the traditional Republican principles and values would continue to be represented here in the United States of America, as defined by Wolfe Tone and sanctified by the blood of countless thousands of patriots down through the centuries including Tone himself, Emmet, Pearse and more recently the martyrs of 1981.
