Allen Gogarty Fundraiser Festival

On Saturday February 11 at 2pm, there will be a benefit held for singer/songwriter Allen Gogarty at The Joyce Public House (315 W 39th St, New York, NY) to assist his family with medical expenses and bills accrued while Allen recovers from a recent major health incident.
The event will be an all-day / all-night festival of live music, featuring some of New York City’s best Irish bands and performers. Some 40+ musicians are assembling – a testament to Allen and his importance in the community – the growing list of performers is at the bottom of this release. Raffles will be available at the event, which will be livestreamed for friends and family from Ireland to Australia to watch along.
On Friday, December 2, Allen suffered a major heart attack and if not for the actions taken by his wife Amparo to get him to the hospital immediately, he very well may not have survived. As a result, he will be unable to perform and earn money as his medical bills mount. To help defray these expenses, a group of his closest friends are putting together this fundraising event.
Allen has been a working musician based in New York City for the past 25 years, supporting his family solely on gigs he performs around the tri-state area. He truly is one of the hardest working musicians on the scene. His generosity of spirit has always been an invaluable asset to the community. He has participated in countless charitable fundraisers, helping to raise money for others in need. One of his recent fundraising efforts raised over $10k USD for the Sláinte Irish relief fund to help Irish immigrants severely affected by Covid. Last November he spearheaded a musical fundraiser for The Emerald Isle Emigration Centre. Allen has always delivered when asked to extend help for the community and now we would like to help him and his family in their time of need.
Suggested donation at the door is $20. Any donation, of any amount, is greatly appreciated. Direct donations can be sent via GoFundMe – www.gofund.me/23df1a9b
